Vestibular Rehabilitation (dizziness)

Dizziness is when your head feels like it’s spinning and you may feel lightheaded, sick to your stomach, or off-balance. It can be caused by something like a virus or inner ear problem, but it can also be caused by an accident (such as whiplash) or injury. No matter the cause, vestibular rehabilitation can help you manage your symptoms and improve your quality of life.

Vestibular rehabilitation helps decrease the feeling of dizziness by improving your balance with special exercises. We work on improving the function of the inner ear, eyes, and related parts of your nervous system that are involved in keeping you balanced.

Specific physical therapy treatments focus on:

  • Improving posture to take pressure off the middle/inner ear
  • Work on balance, coordination, and eye movement

Greendale Physical Therapy, LLC helped me regain the strength in my ankles and feet to keep me walking and continue to exercise and golf. The staff are all well skilled, pleasant, and supportive. I would highly recommend them to my friends for PT. They are a great group!
