Wrist/Hand Injurie
Wrist and hand injuries are common in athletes who perform repetitive motion, for example, golfers or tennis players. They can also occur from trauma to the area, such as during contact sports like football. They often include wrist sprains, fractures, tendonitis or strains, carpal tunnel syndrome. Physical therapy treatments focus on decreasing pain and swelling, improving strength and endurance in the affected muscles, increasing flexibility where needed.
Greendale Physical Therapy can help you manage these issues, including:
- Customized exercise program to increase strength and decrease stiffness in the affected muscles
- Manual therapies
- Modalities including heat, ice, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
- Patient education regarding activities, posture, and biomechanics
- Custom bracing or taping to support the injured area during activity until it heals enough
Greendale Physical Therapy, LLC helped me regain the strength in my ankles and feet to keep me walking and continue to exercise and golf. The staff are all well skilled, pleasant, and supportive. I would highly recommend them to my friends for PT. They are a great group!
