Cerebral Palsy
Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder that affects the parts of your brain that control your movement. It occurs when an injury or birth defect causes damage to the nervous system before, during, or shortly after birth. Cerebral Palsy is the most common motor disability in childhood, but it can affect people of any age. Physical therapy for this condition focuses on improving coordination and strength.
Greendale Physical Therapy can help you manage these issues, including:
- Therapeutic exercise to improve muscle strength and range of motion
- Applying heat, coldor electrical stimulation to relax muscles that are tight or spastic
- Biofeedback techniques for stimulating the muscles without overworking them
Greendale Physical Therapy, LLC helped me regain the strength in my ankles and feet to keep me walking and continue to exercise and golf. The staff are all well skilled, pleasant, and supportive. I would highly recommend them to my friends for PT. They are a great group!
