Headaches
Headaches can have a variety of causes, including postural strain (from poor posture at work/at home), cervical injuries, head injuries, allergies, lack of sleep, and stress. Physical therapy treatments focus on decreasing the frequency and duration of headaches by maximizing proper form during activity or during rest; increasing flexibility; improving strength; addressing any biomechanical issues that may be contributing to the headaches.
Physical therapy can help you manage these issues, including:
- Customized exercise program to improve flexibility and strengthen neck muscles
- Application of cryotherapy/ice packs, heat, and electrical stimulation to relieve pain and tension in the neck area
- Attention on correct posture during activity or rest sessions (at home, work, school) to decrease tension on the neck muscles
Greendale Physical Therapy, LLC helped me regain the strength in my ankles and feet to keep me walking and continue to exercise and golf. The staff are all well skilled, pleasant, and supportive. I would highly recommend them to my friends for PT. They are a great group!
